May 20th Winners

Here are your winners from May 20th. The Hookers sure know their gangsta rap!

Here's a brief recap of the proceedings:

The categories were:
1. Gangsta Rap - a guest round by Matt of the No Wave Hookers
2. Visual Round - Bands with Presidents' Names in Them
3. Audio Round - Pop and Jazz Standards
4. Phil Spector

Some of the questions were:
1. Dr. Dre and Snoop Doggy Dogg first collaborated on the theme song to what 1992 movie starring Laurence Fishburne and Jeff Goldblum?
2. Cleveland's Bone Thugs-N-Harmony dedicated their 1996 hit "Tha Crossroads" to what rap icon who had recently passed away at that time?

Some of the bands on the visual round were Bush, Jefferson Airplane, and Carter USM.
Some of the pop/jazz samples were "Kind of Blue", "Take 5", and "I Get a Kick Out of You".

Also, the background music theme for the evening was provided by Billy of Geoff Leopard and featured "Songs that contain the phrase 'right now'". There are a lot of them!
